Gujju
Special – Methi Na Thepla
Gujju ka
fav hi thepla.. Whenever your travelling on a long distance tour you can carry
them and while travelling if you find a gujarati, you will surely find them
carrying thepla.
Prep time : 30 min
Ingredients:

1 cup Wheat Flour
¼ cup Besan four
2 crushed Green Chillies
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Haldi (turmeric)
1 tbsp Ginger & Garlic paste
1/2 bunch Dry Methi Leaves
1 bunch Coriander leaves
2 crushed Green Chillies

2 tbsp yoghurt
1 tsp Cumin Seeds powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon Oil for kneadin

1/4 cup water
How to
make thepla :

Put wheat flour
and mix besan flour in a flat vessel bowl . Add 2 tsp oil and mix all the
ingredients and knead to a firm dough. The process of adding yoghurt mixes the
dough very soft and add only little water if required. Then make even size
small balls of the dough. Heat the griddle and roast each of the rolled out
theplas one by one.. When evenly roasted remove it from griddle keep stacking the thepla’s one over the other. This will prevent them from drying and also preserve
moisture. Repeat this for all the balls.
Other Alternative
U can add ½ cup Bajra Flour
U can add Doodhi to make Doodhi Thepla
Serving Tips :
You can serve for lunch, breakfast or snack.
Serve with curd and pickle or tea.
